A New Look

Here is the updated look for On The Camino. On the plus side it has more design flexibility than ever before, allowing me to finally include (without having to hack the code myself) the much desired Share Article function at the bottom of each entry. On the negative side, it has taken two days of customizing the old site to the new template to get it to this point. I am still a very big Squarespace fan, but let's just say I'd rather be walking over the Pyrenees than to tweak templates.

If you see something that is wacked-out, please let me know. If you see something minor, I'll probably get to it eventually. I'll be tweaking in the days to come, but what I really want to do is to deliver you many more entries. So—let's get back to the story.

León to San Martín del Camino - part 3

I distracted myself by doing something I hadn't done with any seriousness up to that point on the Camino: I began to calculate how far I should go next. I began to think about how I could get ahead of Marc and Xavier so as to avoid running into them. I looked at my guidebook. I calculated. I came up with different sets of options for the

León to San Martín del Camino - part 2

The woman running the albergue invited us into the dining area to check us in. Mr. Edelweiss and Co. checked in with somewhat of a fuss due to their language problems. The woman was having a difficult time making heads and tails of their answers and their cross talking in German. I listened to what she was saying so that I could hopefully not cause problems when it was my turn. When I stepped up to table,
